IT Systems Manager, January 2010 to Present
International Art & Antiques Loss Register Limited, Bath
- Researched, budgeted, and implemented an infrastructure overhaul. Improving on security and performance weaknesses as well as exploiting cost reducing opportunities.
- Managed deployment and administration of the following technologies:-
- VMware ESXi 3.5 and 4.0 Servers
- Microsoft Server 2000, 2003, 2008 and 2008 R2
- Microsoft Windows XP, Vista and 7

- Implemented virtualisation to allow over twenty servers to run on three physical hosts which resulted in considerable savings and performance improvements.

IT Assistant, June 2007 to December 2010

- Project coordinator for website development. Notably designing the process for an automated online search algorithm used to replicate how our staff search records, reducing company workload.
- Managing Microsoft SQL servers for Art Loss Register and The Equipment Register including tasks such as:-
- Creating and restoring backups
- Correcting errors and cleansing data
- Implementing optimisations
- Coding scripts for cleansing and importing data
- Assisting external consultants with the implementation and migration from Sage Line 50 to Sage AccPac, resolving various problems the consultants.
- Planned and deployed full hard disk encryption for company laptops.
Accounts Assistant, November 2003 to June 2007
Loss Management Group Limited, Bath
- Managing an electronic invoicing system resulting in lowering one customers aged debt by 91% from £140,891.93 to £12,423.95 in just over three months.
- Designing, programming and implementing an electronic chasing system to replace a paper system resulting in a 49% drop in aged debt from £219,833.75 to £111,386.46.
- From December 2004, started a supervisory role, managing and training other credit controllers or sales ledger clerks.
- Learning to a high degree of understanding the use of Sage Line 50 and Sage AccPac usage for sales ledger tasks, general ledger activities and year end processes.
