Professional Accomplishments
- Took control of electronic invoicing systems, as a result lowered one customers aged debt by 91% from £140,891.93 to £12,423.95 in just over 3 months.
- Used IT skills to compare 10,000 invoices on accounts and customer database for discrepancies. Allowing company to save £75,000+ for audit. Work only taking a few hours, rather than several weeks manually as suggested by management.
- Created an independent chasing system, built on a computer database with easy user interface, which enabled 3 credit controllers including myself to chase more effectively, reducing aged debt for customers we had to call from £219,833.75 to £111,386.46 in 3 months.

- Managed every aspect of the day to day administration of the systems.
- Installed, configured and deployed Microsoft SQL 2000, 2005 and 2008 Servers, as well as Microsoft IIS 2003 and 2008 Servers for both production use and development use.
- Installed, configured and deployed a Citrix Presentation Server 4.0 environment on both Windows Server 2000, and Windows Server 2003 virtual machines. Including additional configuration to maximise performance of user sessions over poor networks such as 3G connections.
- Migrated users from Microsoft Exchange and Alt-N MDaemon email servers to Google Apps cloud based email solution resulting in a much higher reliability and uptime as well as substantial cost savings.
- Installed, configured and deployed Active Directory and DNS services, designing the structure and policy's to be deployed on a number of Domain Controllers.
- Implemented virtualization on existing server hardware, using VMware ESXi software to manage 25 Servers on just 3 physical hosts resulting in considerable savings as well as vastly improvements to server performance.
- Rebuilt all servers from scratch, ensuring proper configuration and migrated the company over to these servers with minimal downtime for users.
- Rebuilt all desktops and laptops improving the security, stability and speed greatly with minimal downtime for users.
- Designed, planned and budgeted for a complete IT Infrastructure overhaul. Producing network diagrams, reviewing security and performance weaknesses and detailing potential cost saving areas.

Accounts Assistant, November 2003 to June 2007
- Learned many sales ledger tasks, from listing and allocating receipts, to spreadsheet and telephone chasing. From December 2004, started taking a supervisory role, managing 3 other credit controller/sales ledger clerks. After taking control of credit control, aged debt was lowered considerably and as a result, cash flow improved.
- Trained six people over time in all aspects of credit control and sales ledger tasks.
- Learned with a high understanding, Sage Accounts usage for sales ledger tasks.
- Managed invoicing and chasing spreadsheets, improving them to reduce errors and debt.
- Developed in free time, and later implemented an electronic chasing system that saved on paper chasing lists. This resulted in saving the company time, money, while directly improving aged debt and cash flow.

Exceptional IT Understanding & Accounts Understanding. I have an advanced understanding of many aspects and concepts of IT from the basics of Office, and Windows. Up to things such as Server Management, Security Implementation, Basic Programming and Debugging (VB, PHP), Basic Linux Administration, Website Design, and Virtualisation.
I also have good experience using Sage Line 50, and Sage AccPac from both the users point of view, administrators point of view, and direct database manipulation from the back end if needed. For example, for Migration from Sage Line 50 to AccPac.
I have a very strong work mentality, and enjoy working in accounting or office environment.
