I've been really impressed with the speed and smoothness boost it gives my new desktop. It's a similar configuration to what you've put above, with a 60GB Crucial m4 as the boot drive and a 1.5TB WD conventional hd having the games on it.

Smoothness is lightyears ahead of how my laptop behaves, with both machines being Windows 7 64 bit. It's worth paying the £80ish to take away the crippling performance overhead Windows introduces with its botched and broken disc access system.

What video card/cpu have you got in there ? Kinda wondering what the benchmark is and how my 2500K + 560Ti measure up.

Not that I'll be buying Skyrim, I've had too much disappointment and early boredom with Bethesda games.

I bet you're cooler now. 2011 turned out to be the coolest summer on record since 1993. (I hate it when they say that - who's records and how far back do they actually go?).

Good luck guys.

It's hard running an alliance, and I speak from experience. Just remember that you need a lot more people to do jobs than you think, mainly so they don't all die from working 14 hours days, and that delegation is the best form of management.

I hope it works and you manage to keep the fun :)

Good luck guys, hopefully you'll do well.

I'll be keeping an eye on you guys, probably from Stain/Catch area since you guys don't want me back ;)

Its a lot of work setting up and running an alliance, hopefully there are enough people with the time spare to do it now, Volt definitely has the players and skills to be one of the best alliances in the game, just a matter of those players having the time to actually carry out their objectives.

I do think that VOLT will be more 'work' than some of us think... but I don't mind putting in the time and effort when I get to reap the benefits. The excitement is back in Eve for me, though, and I can't wait to see our KB light up with former friends, enemies, and everything in between :D

Well, after reading this, I finally know at least SOMEONE understands me, and knows what I mean when I say "Another blob?" and leave the game for a few days (even though most of the time I really had some RL stuff to take care of). And you nailed it to the point why I`m still loyal to VC and never thought of leaving, just because I can enter the game whenever and see a few friends say HI and talk about random stuff, and not like in some corporations/alliances where, when I enter the game after being away a few days (for whatever reason) I was being told how mad everyone is for not being there when they are in the middle of something (which was like ALL the time), or I was just being ignored completely. Yes, there are guys like that in VC too, but probably there are a lot of "good" guys, so I don`t even really notice those "bad" guys. I think I wrote enough :)
