Quarter of a Century

As its the 27th May 2009, I am now 25 years old. So this year, rather than receiving cards, I would much prefer emails, or even better register and post comment replies to this post wishing me a happy birthday!

Lets see how many comments I can get before my mother spots the blog and posts a comment herself wishing me Happy Birthday…

If anyone is thinking of getting me any gifts, please consider:

  • Gallente Nyx Class Mothership (I can dream!)
  • Marks & Spencer Gift Vouchers
  • Yum Yums
  • Bottles of Bulmers Original Cider
  • >500Gb SATA Hard Drive (I can dream!)
  • Anything Final Fantasy 7 Related

Many Thanks!

Photography of Bath

Finally finished and decided on a final banner for the site. However getting a decent photo of the City of Bath at night requires a camera with adjustable exposure, and someone who knows stuff about Photography…

Lucky for me, my Grandad knew Ken Moore, who was willing to visit my flat after the sunset, and spend what must have been a few hours taking a number of photos and then putting them together for a panaramic image to be used on the site.

I have also uploaded original full resolution images of the photos taken.

Bath_At_Night_Original.jpg (4Mb)
Bath_At_Night_Original_Edited.jpg (7Mb)

The file with edited after is the original photo after it has had the lighting and colour adjusted digitally slightly. Very happy with the end result myself. You can even zoom in on the originals and read the time off the Bath Cathedral.

Site design updated

Just updated the website, there are still a number of things left to do, few broken links, and unfinished profiles…

But the new site should be much more visually pleasing to the eye. The banners rotate between a selection, currently Bath at Night, and Bath at Day. And it even displays correctly in Internet Explorer!

Improvement over the old website? What do you think?

With any luck, registration should work, as should the ability to post comments to this post. Failing that break something, and find a bug!
